Abydos Orbs weekly update #10
Yet another busy week is behind us during which Chad our composer made three revisions and also submitted a new music proposal while our coder Martin continued his work towards the next build.
Our novella writer has finished writing his version of the story and is now adding the final touches in the form of editorial work and revision so the final version is expected soon.
Fredrick, one of our artists is working on the story mode map art and the past weeks progressed to the fourth iteration of the map art. It looks great and already contains a lot of the elements of the intended final version.
Laszlo has finished the intro, prologue, epilogue plus area and location descriptions and is working on other parts of the ingame story. He also was working on project management (which amongst others includes artist recruiting and selection) along with cooperating on internal business documentation creation and aiding the community management and PR team.

Abydos Orbs weekly update #9
Another busy week.
Martin our coder is completing the finishing touches of the combat mechanics, after which he will begin working on the scripting system.
Chad our composer has proposed new samples and altered existing ones.
Our novella writer also confirmed that his progress passed the two thirds mark (66%), so we are looking forward to his remaining progress and to read his novella.
Laszlo our producer, designer and writer has made progress with the ingame story materials, recruiting of artists for various tasks plus preparing additional task descriptions for future recruiting and other aspects of development and project management.

Abydos Orbs special update: prototype v6 video
As promised in the previous update, here it is (after being re-recorded and altered by our director & lead, Christian) you can finally watch the combat gameplay video taken in our ver. 6 prototype. (As this is just a prototype, final gameplay, visuals and atmosphere may differ in the final version.)

Abydos Orbs weekly update #8
Great news! The first fruits of our efforts are showing as we've produced a series of screenshots using the (ver. 6) prototype of our game. You can check them in the menu to the left or by clicking here. The related combat gameplay video is expected to come sometimes next week.
This of course means that our coder Rahul Martin made good progress with the programming. He is from India and proven to be very dedicated, organized and knowledgeable regarding his work. The first milestone is already completed and the second is in progress.
Our composer Chad Klaiber also made excellent progress this week and altered existing compositions and made some new proposals as well.
Works on the art assets also continued and you can observe some of the results by viewing the screenshots.
Haven't mentioned this yet to keep it a surprise, so I am now happy to announce that we also have a novella in the works which is separate from the game and is a much more detailed but alternate version of the game's story. Progress with the novella is also going well according to our novella writer and we are looking forward to its completion.
